C&M Training Collaborate with Ritchie’s Training Centre for First Aid Training Delivery

(Dec 2011)

C&M Training and Ritchie’s Training Centre have combined their
expertise and accreditations to offer a Drivers Emergency First Aid at Work
(EFAW) Course.

LGV and PCV drivers who drive professionally throughout the UK must complete
35 hours of “Periodic Training” every 5 years which is known
as Drivers CPC (refer to EU Directive 2003/59).

The aim of this “Periodic Training” is to improve the safety
and efficiency of professional drivers. Training sessions must last for
a minimum of 7 hours (1 day) meaning drivers need to complete 5 x 7 hour
sessions (days) of training every 5 years. Training for Driver CPC and the
trainers that deliver it, must be approved by JAUPT (on behalf of the Drivers
Standards Agency).

C&M Training, in conjunction with Ritchie’s Training Centre have
developed and gained approval for a joint HSE/JAUPT accredited Emergency
First Aid at Work Course which counts as 7 hours (1 day) towards Drivers
CPC as well as being recognised as a workplace first aid qualification.

Combining these accreditations allows delegates to get 2 qualifications
for the price of one and has proved very popular (particularly with owner
drivers). If you require any further information or would like to book onto
a Drivers CPC EFAW Course contact Ritchie’s Training Centre on 0141
