C&M Training recently assisted Albion Environmental Ltd (a local training provider based in Ayr) to deliver Modern Apprenticeships in Sustainable Resource Management.
Modern Apprentices from South Ayrshire Council, North Ayrshire Council and West Dunbartonshire Council who are working towards gaining their Apprenticeship in Sustainable Resource Management recently attended a Waste Management Legislation Course in Ayr.
This course was developed and delivered by C&M Training and is jointly certificated by Albion Environmental Ltd and The Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland (REHIS). The course was designed to provide underpinning knowledge to the skills the Apprentices have been developing during their council employment.
With the continued support of Skills Development Scotland and the Modern Apprenticeship Scheme, young people can gain valuable employment experience whilst gaining nationally recognised qualifications.
Councillor John Hampton, Youth Champion for South Ayrshire Council said: “Through their participation in this programme each of the young people will gain a recognised qualification which is something that they can build on in the future. The practical experience that they will gain is invaluable and will help them to develop their personal skills.”
